Circuscentrum and L'Azimut invite you to "A la découverte du cirque en Flandre"

This year, L'Azimut, Pôle National Cirque en Île-de-France, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of L'Espace Cirque d'Antony. Circus Ronaldo has played a significant role in the history of this circus venue. In 2003, they presented their performance Fili in a temporary circus space in Antony. The success of this show led all institutional partners to agree to the establishment of a permanent circus tent: L'Espace Cirque d'Antony, located just 10 km south of Paris.

Circus Ronaldo quickly became a regular feature at L'Espace Cirque d'Antony, where it presented many of its shows. This historic circus company, with a rich history spanning seven generations, was awarded the title of "Cultural Ambassador of Flanders" in 1998 by the then Flemish Minister of Culture, Luc Marten. From 2021 onwards, Circus Ronaldo is among the first three companies to receive structural grants under flanders' Circus Decree.

To celebrate the anniversary of L'Espace Cirque d'Antony, L'Azimut will present two of Circus Ronaldo's latest shows in December 2024: Sono Io and Da Capo. Additionally, L'Azimut has invited Circus Ronaldo to host the anniversary evening on 9 december 2024. During this special evening, Circus Ronaldo will not only share the stage with artists who have left their mark on the venue's history but also with up-and-coming talents from Flanders.

Flemish talents will have the opportunity to present their projects to an international audience of professionals, and we will provide an overview of the latest developments in the circus landscape of Flanders. Finally, you will have the chance to discover Circus Ronaldo’s latest creation, Da Capo - a story of family, circus, and sharing.
