Jef Everaert & Marica Marinoni
Marica and Jef follow the same artistic education, three years apart – Flic scuola di circo Torino & CNAC Châlons-en-Champagne. They meet in 2018, during an intervention by Marica at the circus school in Turin. From their shared fascination with research with the Roue Cyr, they each develop their own specific style.
Over the years, they feel increasingly connected in their professional relationship by that same obsession, which leads them to explore extreme but different sides of the same discipline. They feel inspired by their opposites and their complementarity in thinking, physicality and culture.
After Jef graduated from CNAC in 2022, they came together with the concrete desire to develop a project in which their research with the wheel could take centre stage. This materialised in the writing of their first performance as co-authors: In Difference.
